Can Sims have babies?

NO! Only the Sims PC version allow that so far.

How to get married?

Get your Sim into a romantic relationship with another Sim by clicking on Flirt, Pick up Line, Embrace, Smooch, etc. enough that they become “Partners”. It can be a bit more difficult with some Sims because of their personalities. If your Sim isn’t compatible with the other Sim, it will be lot harder for them to get into a relationship but not impossible. Once you become partners, you should have the option under “Actions” to “Propose”. Being married to another Sim in this game does not mean they will automatically live in the same house. Your Sim have to ask the other Sim to “Move In” before or after she/he proposes to get them to actually live in the same house. Unlike in the Sims 3 PC version Sims moving in will not bring their money with them.

Note: If your Sim reaches the point of being “Good Friends” or “Best Friends” with another Sim they can no longer date without bringing the relationship back down to simply being “Friends.” You can “downgrade the relationship by selecting “Rude” actions until they are back to just friends. So basically when your Sim is friend with another, you have to chose which path you want your Sim to go: either make lots of romantic overtures to take the romance path, or make simple friendly gestures to take the best friends path.

How to get your Sim to Woohoo?

To be able to Woohoo, first your Sim has to be friends with the other. When your Sim get to a friendship status, only use the romantic options. Don’t use “be funny” or” chat”, etc. Stick to flirting, pick up lines, and after a while start embracing. Then a budding romance will start. Stick to romance, and your Sim will be able to ‘hot smooch”.’ The relationship will then become a “date”. Keep using the Romance options. Once the relationship bar is filled half way, go to “Romance”, scroll down and you should see the option to “Woohoo”.

How to slap a Sim?

Get your Sim to be rude and start insulting another Sim until the option to “Slap” shows up in the menu under “Be Rude” when talking to a Sim.

How to get a Catfish?

Talk to Kia abut fishing until she asks your Sim to catch her a catfish.

How to open the Pawn Shop?

It’s a surprise!!!
The Pawn shop has to be unlocked by fulfilling all of the goals in the game. Ultimately you need to create all of the personality types to complete all goals. To check how many goals you have fulfilled so far go to the front screen under “Goals checklist”.

The original Sims 3 gaming title for iPhone put you in control of a virtual Sim character in the virtual Sim world. You could customize the look of your character’s appearance and even give your Sim different personality traits that would allow you to explore the Sim world in different ways. Mid-November’s DLC (downloadable content) packs for The Sims 3 for iPhone/iTouch version will give you more customization options for your Sim’s clothing and house.

These DLC packs are segregated in to “live it” and “wear it” packs for furniture and clothing. Each bundle of content will include a few different hairstyles and outfits or pieces of furniture. The first three themes that are being rolled out are the “Castle,” “University,” and “Vampires and Werewolves”.

The castle “wear it” pack will allow you to equip your sim in a suit of armor, and the vampires and werewolves live it pack will add things like coffins to your house.

EA were not willing to discuss pricing, but acknowledged that they needed to provide a good value as you can buy an entire iPhone game for 99¢, the current lowest price point allowable by Apple for in-game purchases.

One thing we have noticed though since my other half got the 3GS iPhone is that the game no longer crashes… coincidence? Not sure. All I know is that I find it very hard to play the Sims 3 on an iPhone (not counting the fact that I do have long nails) but just the gameplay in general. I suppose it is like other Sims console games which I find so different from the Sims pc version. We bought back then 2 Sims games for the ps2 and only my son was playing them just because he never got a chance to touch the computer to play the Sims lol

In the meantime here is a little guide to help you play the game on the iPhone…

Controlling the view

Camera control is very important, as it allows you to view specific objects and perform actions when you cannot normally see them. In order to pan the camera around, slide your finger across the screen. To zoom in and out, use the slider bar on the right hand portion of the screen. To orbit with the camera and get a bird’s eye view, touch the screen with two fingers.

Cooking

In order to gain a cooking skill you must first finish the cooking tutorial successfully. You must keep the pots cooking without allowing them to boil over. To do this, touch a pot to select it then shake the iPhone to keep the heat down and stir the pot. Do this enough times in the allotted amount of time and you will earn one point.

To cook in general, you must first purchase a recipe from the local “Corsican Bistro” located by the beach. Once you have done this, go to the grocery store “Quickmart” to purchase your ingredients. You can also grow them in your garden if you have already upgraded your house, which saves time and money.

Easy money

Go to Walter’s house and become friends. He will then try to challenge you to see who has the largest trout from the lake. If you do this, Walter will hand over 200 Simoleons.

Kia will also give you 200 Simoleons if you give her a catfish.

Earn money by selling fish. Go to the Market and select “Shop” in the menu. You can then use the plus and minus signs to sell your stock of fish. Vegetables can also be sold for Simoleons.

Fishing

To fish properly, tilt the iPhone to lure a fish in then shake the iPhone upwards to catch the fish.

Gardening

Gardening will save you money. You can start a fruit and vegetable garden along the side of your house if you upgrade it within Build mode. To buy seeds for planting, stop by the Hobby Shop in town. Remember that fertilizer also helps them grow faster.

Happiness

Happy Sims lead to success. In order to progress through the game, meet new Sims and participate in activities, you will need to keep your Sim happy. To do this, make sure you are involved in different activities, stay sociable, and learn new skills such as cooking or fishing.

Needs

Your Sims have needs. This is why in the lower left hand corner of the screen you must pay attention to their current status and see what requires attention. This could range from hunger to bad hygiene and can reflect your Sim’s mood.

Queued actions

Watch for the queued actions located in the top left portion of the screen. If you are waiting on your Sim to perform an action, make sure they are not currently busy with other multiple tasks. To delete some, tap the icon.

Repairs

To repair electronics and other things that go wrong, such as a broken sink, drag them into the trashcan located in the front yard. Then purchase new ones and replace them accordingly all within the time limit to earn a skill point.

Wishes and goals

An important feature are wishes and goals. With a total of 73 unlockable achievements, these wishes also affect your Sims mood rating and progression through the game. Complete each task to continue on.
