Anyway, today I came across some very interesting custom content… Fresh-Prince has been creating Vice City for The Sims 3 using the Create-A-World tool. One of the most striking features of this city is the new custom water Fresh-Prince has created.  It is a very long thread so I took the important bits…

Fresh-Prince: “I am currently working on a neighborhood that is based off of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City’s replica of Miami. The map I created is based off of GTA, but this was the largest i could make it, so it’s more of a mini version. I started this yesterday and love it so far, and I want to make it perfect. It is no where complete, but I figured I’d post it here to get feedback of it right now, how I can improve anything, and for future updates. So here are some pics of the mini Vice City with some Miami incorporated. Thanks for any feedback!”

Fresh-Prince: I think I fixed the islands in the middle, I had one of the roads/bridges wrong. And as for the skyscrapers, I know they don’t look wonderful, but thats all I could do to make it look like tall buildings, I need them for this City

As for the roads, do you suggest that I add an intersection everywhere the roads meet? I just think it would look weird with a intersection everywhere with white lines. The roads do work without intersections though. I’m not sure what to do. And here’s the top view again. I’m obviously more focused on the right side of the city for now.

I added all new beach and water with some techniques, and it looks great! Well, I think it does,lol. I love the color of the water.



I replaced and added buildings. Made some new “rivers’ in the city. I also did the water change for the whole neighborhood. That was extremely annoying, and I was actually going to give up. It took me about 7 hours to fix all the water. But I am very happy because it looks stunning in the game. I tried recreating that grass I’mSimalicious!, but I just couldn’t get it. And I lowered the water tower kiwi_tea. So I tested it actually in game with my sim, and just have some fun/pretty screens for you guys!

For the bridges, I decided to have that rock texture around it. Here’s a pic of the idea of it. And I’m not able to remove the land underneath it.

I think I finished everything that I did with the other Vice City, so I moved on to some new things. Right now I’m working on Leaf Links, which is a series of islands as a golf course. Here’s a golfing range that is in Vice City, where I believe it’s there so you can hit golf balls into the ocean.

Yes all 3 have released Sims 3 Hairstyles…

My 1st favorite site for hair is XM sims 3 because they are all free downloads so no complaint there. (edit: the site has not been updated in a while so no new Sims 3 hairstyles but still a good range to chose from).

Rosesims is my second favorite purely because those Sims 3 hairstyles are not free and not cheap either.  She is the most expensive sims 3 hairstyles seller I think. But she does a fantastic job and my Sims have always looked good with Rosesims hairstyles.  She has a couple of free items but the best ones are always the paid ones. The one below from Rosesims was one of my favorites for Sims 2.

PeggyZone is my third favorite one for Sims 3 hairstyles.  She has a few really good ones but the rest I am not very fond of but that is a personal choice, so go for it!

Here are a few other sites where you will find more Sims 3 hairstyles.

• Modthesims: Traditional, funky, trendy, simple and Sims 2 converted hairstyles.

• Funky Sims 3 hairstyles are at Savio’s Stuff. Some of the creator’s own works, and conversions from free Sims 2 hair downloads.

• Kewai-Dou is a Japanese Web site with Short Sims 3 hairstyles for both genders.

• Another Sims 3 hairstyle site is Raonjena, free and paid ones.

• The Sims Resource also has some good Sims 3 hairstyles but most of the time the best ones are not the free ones.

So let me share with you a few things…

The IT Career: seemed interesting so  installed it  but not yet tested.

Got tiered of looking for that Mysterious Mr. Gnome so downloaded a mod to be able to buy it: Buyable Money Tree Seed, Omni Plant Seed, Death Flower and The Mysterious Mr. Gnome!

These neat little mods mainly to have the option of the car pool arriving 30mn before starting working instead of an hour. The other mod lets you use your own vehicle to drive around town,go to work,community lots,etc.The taxi will only pick you up if you’ve walked someplace & don’t have your car,also the carpool will still show up for work.

10 new meshes for high heeled shoes, non replacement

Rosesims, one of the best Sims hairstyle maker in my opinion, has released new hair for Sims 3. Actually some of them are from Sims 2.  Peggysims too is on the roll for new hair.

One of my favorite Custom content creators for Sims 2, Stylist Sims has released clothes and a living room set.

I also downloaded Stylist Sims furnished house. I found a vacant lot by the beach to install the house for awesome views. The house is nicely designed and decorated but still gave me a few headaches. On their first night in their new home,  my sims refused to cook so ended up having to order a pizza. I figured out that they did not like the overhead kitchen cabinets on top of the fridge and the oven. Once removed they were they were able to cook. Then there was a door issue which I realised when she went all around the house to leave her plate on the outside table… so had to add a few doors.  I also wanted a proper garage door which I could not place on the wall saying it was intersecting with other objects I could not see. I then decided  I wanted a double garage so had to play around with the walls but could not figure out how she did the roof.
