How come my sims 3 keeps on shutting down? How can i prevent it from shutting down?
My sims 3 only shuts down when it is in live mode. but it doesn’t shut down my computer. it is sooo annoying is thier anything i need to download to prenvent it from shutting down?

Same thing happened to me. It’s whenever I update to the most current patch there is (unfortunately, this means I CANNOT install expansions packs, as, if I’m correct, it updates it automatically for you. Damn you ea!). My graphics card is pretty damn good, and I have a shit load of memory, so I think that isn’t the problem. Anyone found a solution yet? Thanks, and good luck to the rest of you!

My sims3 keeps making my computer turn off when i am playing it but then it restarts i tryed loads of thingz to stop it but it wont CAN YOU PLEZ HELP

When My Does It Its Always On Create A Sim I Would Nearly Finish My Sim Then It Would Go Off, Like Only My Sims Not My Laptop It Would Say The Sims 3 Has Stopped Working & It Says We Will Tell You When We Come Up With A Solution, But Nothing Never Comes Up, HELP PLEASE!

the same things happen to me, at first it is okay but when i install the extensions i downloaded from the net it started crashing by the way i have windows 7 laptop with nvidia on it

i have sims 3 town life stuff and it freezes right when i go to my lot to play sims and it loads then says “checking for solution” and it says it will notify me but i t doesnt and just closes to window. i hope i didnt waste my money
i re-installed it and i did everything everyone else told me too 
please help

Well, i have the same problm with my pc have any one you rest anything on your systems or had a virse? If so try uninstalling it and reinstalling that may help…better then nothing!!

They keep telling you to use that system requirements thing but whats the use? its a scam and it some how gets on your computer. That is a scam just like the downloading buttons. By the way my story mode keeps shutting off and going to the desktop. The erro was a app crash and this is the error i get: Problem signature:

It’s not the requirments with me, I passed it easily. My video card is also tons better than nessecary, but I still have the same problem…
Does no one have any other idea what to do?? And what is meant with DEP???
I have the sims 3 High end loft stuff, btw, nothing more (yeah the basic game) and I neatly bought it at the store, so that can’t be the problem either.

I just recently started playing this daily on my iphone4 and now it wont load it just crashes, is it fixable?

Unfortunately with iPhone apps it’s difficult to say. Have you deleted the Sims 3 app then re-installed it? I have apps that I have not been able to use after an update and it sucks especially when I paid for them!

I had the same problem happen to me. I had bought a brand new graphics card and it still crashed. I contacted EA and they told me to change the DEP settings so that it allows the sims 3 and all the expansions and I haven’t had a problem since.

This happened to me, until I adjusted the graphics a bit in the options menu. Hope this works for you. Also, as some said, it may be your graphics card. I had this happen when I had Sims installed on another computer.

that happend to me too. it worked fine until now it crashes everytime i go into live mode.. idk what to do :\

My sims 3 used to do that. First of alll, are you running it in windowed mode? if it is, you need to make sure the resolution for the screen is lowered because it sometimes cant handle the high quality graphics. Same thing for fullscreen, make sure the resolution isn’t exceeding your computers’ requirements. When i changed mines, it stopped crashing and shutting down.

Don’t know why this happens, but as that other person said you could check the requirements.
Go to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/ and choose The Sims 3 from the drop down menu and it will check the requirements for you.

That’s what mine did when i first got it. I had to get my video card upgraded, and now it works fine.
Check the sims 3 requirements, and make sure you’re computer has all of the requirements it needs.
