Best Sims 3 Hairstyles
One of the most wanted custom downloads would probably have to be Sims 3 Hairstyles. As I mentioned on Sims2FreeDownloads.com, I have my top 3 favorite creators for Sims 2 hair and I am so happy to say they ARE my top ones for Sims 3 Hairstyles!
Yes all 3 have released Sims 3 Hairstyles…
My 1st favorite site for hair is XM sims 3 because they are all free downloads so no complaint there. (edit: the site has not been updated in a while so no new Sims 3 hairstyles but still a good range to chose from).
Rosesims is my second favorite purely because those Sims 3 hairstyles are not free and not cheap either. She is the most expensive sims 3 hairstyles seller I think. But she does a fantastic job and my Sims have always looked good with Rosesims hairstyles. She has a couple of free items but the best ones are always the paid ones. The one below from Rosesims was one of my favorites for Sims 2.
PeggyZone is my third favorite one for Sims 3 hairstyles. She has a few really good ones but the rest I am not very fond of but that is a personal choice, so go for it!
Here are a few other sites where you will find more Sims 3 hairstyles.
- Modthesims: Traditional, funky, trendy, simple and Sims 2 converted hairstyles.
- Funky Sims 3 hairstyles are at Savio’s Stuff. Some of the creator’s own works, and conversions from free Sims 2 hair downloads.
- Kewai-Dou is a Japanese Web site with Short Sims 3 hairstyles for both genders.
- Another Sims 3 hairstyle site is Raonjena, free and paid ones.
- The Sims Resource also has some good Sims 3 hairstyles but most of the time the best ones are not the free ones.

Every time I try and get the XM sims 3, Iit won’t let me open the files, It gives me steps how to do it but It doesn’t work for me! Can someone help please?

I am IN LOVE with custom content since i found it a month or so ago! check out Anubis 360. He does a lot of retexturing of other peoples meshes so they are less polys. and the hair looks AMAZING.

Yes, you are totally right and the link to his site was added to our Sims 3 directory a few weeks ago. I still would like to see more talented Sims 3 hairstyles creators.

I have recently grown fond of the site “sims3updates” because it features creations from many sites, along with a direct link. I have also noticed that most items have the option of installing as a sims3pack or package file, whichever you prefer. I like this site because it has drawn my attention to many creators and sites that are small but have some nice things. I have also noticed that many creators put some of their best items on there for free to attract you to their sites. Each download states whether or not the item is free, requires free registration, or is a pay item.
Unlike some paid sites, where all the best stuff costs money, you will find a lot of great quality free items here.

Ya know, The Sims Resource has some cool hairs that you can download, but not all of them are ‘awesome.’ The only hairs that I like from the site are the ‘Fasionista’ collections, but you have to register and pay money for them. There’s some other cool hairs from there that have a golden key on it which is not the Fasionista collection symbol, it is something similar to the symbol. If you know what the non-fasionista collection symbol is, PLEASE reply!

Oh I am wrong? I don’t have any issues with my downloads and I had the game installed on Mac and PC. I do not use the monkey program and from what I have read some people have issues with it wich is not surprising with sims: 2 computers will not behave the same with sims.
So if one solution does not work you have to try another and always remember that it does nit work for everybody.

download it program and thats it. Then you open your downloads with winzip and it appear the icon of the program that is a monkey you do doble clik in it and thats it. you dont have to extract it.
Prisqua, you are wrong. You have to do what i wrote if not the game will not accpet de downloads.

After downloading that program you go to the link i put to METTE. There is a program that is call monkey you dowload. If you dont undertund try to read my coments.

hey guys! look i have a mac and so i cant have winzip cause its only for windows.im trying to download some hair but i cant!!! is there any way i can download them with a similar program. i’ve heard a thing called stiifed but its not working either!!! please help:(

download that program, then with winzip or other programs that do the same you download the things you want, then yo open it with winzip and it appeare the icon of the monkey the only thing you have to do is to click it and thats it, it is in your game. OK? CU!!

Can you be a bit more specific, when do you get the error message? When unzipping the file or during game-play? I have never had any issues with Peggy’s hair.

Hey. I have a question. I have downloaded winrar and all and winzip but when I download from peggyzone etc and put it on the game or try to it says the package file has an error or the link does not exist. What do I do?? I want to download the cool hairstyles but i can’t.
It won’t let me cuz of the error and does not exist thing :/

All you have to do is un-ip or un-rar the files and put the files in your Downloads folder as:
Place any .package files you extract in your Sim 3 Mods\Packages folder. (The Sims 3 is usually installed in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\, so you’ll place files in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages).

I am not sure I understand the question but I will assume you are trying to download those hairstyles from this site? If that is the case you cannot, you have to go the sites… Click on the pictures and it will take you to them…

Hello, if you want the winrar you dont have to tell your paents to buy it, its stupid. For something you have internet no? you download it from 3 and thats it. then you go to the mod the sim to the part of programs and there is one that the icon is a monkey… you download it and read the insturctions and thats it. But read the intructions.
