Sims 3 Official Site and Store Officially Launched

Sims 3 Official Site and Store was officially launched yesterday.

So we can now buy items online. You get a bonus $10 when registering your game. $1=100 points.
Is the store going to replace the stuff packs? Stuff packs were quite pricey for just the number of pieces you were getting. Frankly I mostly got them because custom content were created from them. So is this going to work out cheaper? I am not sure yet but certainly looking forward to find out.
