Most Wanted: the Sims 3 Money Cheats!

One of the most wanted cheat for Sims 3 is the one to get more money.  All Sims start with a $16,000 budget which is not that much.  A simple way to increase money without cheating is by creating single Sims and then move them in together… Takes time, but it is not cheating right?

Or you can simply cheat with the code kaching for $1,000 or motherlode for $50,000.

You also have the familyfunds cheat which is handy to have if you want to buy an expansive home and just enter a specific amount of money.

To use the Sims 3 cheats above Open the cheat window by holding down Ctrl, Shift and C and then type in the code.

If you are trying to give the family funds in order to buy a home, EA actually created a new cheat “freerealestate“! You first have to be in edit town mode for this cheat to work thenyou choose the family, open the cheat box, type in freerealestate and select the home you want your sims to move into. Once they are on a lot, the familyfunds cheat will work, but you can NOT add or subtract like before, you need to give  them the exact amount you want them to have.

“In my case, I moved out my Sims 3 family and they were left with $55,000 in the bank.  The fully furnished home I wanted for my Sims was a lot from Stylist Sims and the price was about $110,000. I went to “edit town”, selected my Sims 3 family, opened the cheat box, typed in freerealestate, selected the house and they were in!  So they now live in a $110,000 fully furnished home and still have $55,000 in the bank!”

If you do not want to cheat, there are other way to make extra money on the Sims 3.  Sims can up their guitar skills and play the guitar for tips in public places.  Sims can write books with their computer/laptop. Sims can paint and sell their painting, sell fish and fruits & vegies… Those are the most Sims 3 common way to earn easy money that come to mind, there might be more…
