Sims 3 Latest Game Update

A major update (1.3) for Sims 3 was posted on the official Sims 3 site on the 07/27/09.  I actually never got the time to update my game to the 1.2.7 update because I got an “invalid file error” while attempting to update my game. Since the update at that time was nothing major I did not worry about it and forgot about it.

But I was not too sure if the fact that my game was not update with the previous patch whether or not it would affect this new update. I started the update process anyway to get the same “invalid file” error message anyway.

Since this is a major update and it has a very extensive list of fixes, it was now time to seriously look at the problem.

The only game mod I was running was the first censor patch released which replaced an original game file. I removed the modified file and replaced it by the original I had kept as a back up and fair enough, the update went on smoothly.

My game seems to take forever to load the first time, and in game, some of the objects seems to take longer than usual to completely load. But other than that, everything else is fine.
